I’ll admit this is pretty cool, if GM did something like this with the Sierra EV including the mid gate I might jump. The comments on the article are hilarious, it’s very obvious that the solar on the roof is meant to keep the fridge etc running not power the truck

I am sure the price tag will be north of 30k but I spent north of 20k on my camper and I built out the inside myself.

Looking at EarthCruiser's other options, I'm guessing this will be $350k min.

I just want a pop-up roof option for the R1S

I guess you could ask me the same question with my 1.5kWh ‘house’ battery in my R1T camper. I personally like to be able to run my fridge, lights, fans etc seperate from the propulsion, it also gives you a easy place to direct the solar coming in. That said 3kWh would probably be enough with that much solar.

That's a good point. And from the pics it looks like they did a great job with that interior. Looks comfortable and functional.

Looks like they updated it now that it was officially announced. Still no mention of pricing that I can find and also they didn’t utilize the mid-gate so not quite what I would want.

Lol think you forgot a zero. Earth cruiser is laughably priced. They sell a small Fuso delivery truck chassis with a small fiberglass camper on back for half a mil $.
