Honestly I love this solution for the grid in general. Pepper a bunch of these 1-10mw micro reactors through neighborhoods and decentralize the grid. I didn't know INL was developing them. I recently read an economic feasible study for powering remote Alaska towns and mines using micro reactors instead of shipping in disel. It was a very good fit.

Only place you'd need larger plants then would be dense urban environments.
Completely agree. It's frustrating, though, because many of these feasibility studies praise the concept and make solid economic arguments but never seem to amount to anything.

I work heavily in the nuclear field. The main issue preventing nuclear is a PR issue. That and career politicians. Instead of listening to scientific advisors they like power and listen to mass hysteria.

Such a frustrating problem. Makes me lose hope. We have the solutions in front of us, yet...

This is probably my favourite part of this vehicle and EV's in general, everything can be refined through software. And as RJ mentioned over a year ago, the lack of physical buttons gives them a broader range of customization.

My wife and I use alexa to control the majority of our household functions (while she spies on us) and I do very much like the Alexa integration into the vehicle as it saves you looking down tapping things on the center display while driving.
I agree with the advantages of using a voice controlled assistant, but what do we do if we prefer Google spying on us? Lol

It’s exactly the opposite and the utilities are allowed to charge extra for it. Look up “demand charge”.
I think the reference was to the number of cars that could be charged per day at each charger. Faster charging requires fewer stations.

It all depends on what you mean by infrastructure. Is it the concrete on the ground, the physical charging pedestals? AJ, like me, interprets infrastructure to be the electric infrastructure. In that case, 1 car charging twice as fast is roughly the same as 2 cars charging slower. Pure kW capacity at a point.

Just drop the middle-man and build a mini modular reactor that fits in the frunk. U-235 is cleaner than the coal and oil used to power a lot of the grid right now ?
Was it "Stranger in a Strange Land" where the main character had a nuclear reactor on his wrist powering his watch?
