Which month? The goal is by the end of the month.
"Gear Glide Tunnel Tray" sounded like an "intimate" accessory or new type of lube. The first batch finally shipped out a few days ago! We're anxiously awaiting their arrival and can't wait to see them installed into some patiently waiting R1Ts.
We have quite a few exciting ideas brewing for a whole range of accessories and are especially looking forward to seeing the creative DIY innovations that come from this community. We'll be following up with all first-round owners to ensure the G2T2 (I know, it sounds like an astromech droid, but "Gear Glide Tunnel Tray" is a bit of a mouthful!) meets all your gear tunnel needs.
We're ramping up production to full speed to get as many gear tunnels equipped and ready for your summer adventures as possible. Be sure to subscribe to our mailing list or reach out to Sara directly if you're interested. We're planning to place a much larger order of slides soon, once we've gauged interest and expect those parts to arrive at our workshop 6-8 weeks after that.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project so patiently—we truly appreciate it!
V2 of the tray is in the works and looking great. The major components are already at our workshop, but we’re still tweaking some finer points on the locking mechanism. We’ll have more details to share soon, but we’re really excited to show all the improvements we were able to make working with V1 owners. Is there an update on these from installed users or manufacturer updates on second run?

Here are a couple of shots of what we're working on. We're exploring how to maximize every little bit of storage and functionality out of the space as possible. Most of these things would go sooo much faster if I was a trained engineer and not a cook, but it is what it is. Learning CAD, tinkering, navigating tariffs, and all the other challenges that pop up have slowed things down, but at the end of the day I think we're working on a really great enhancement to the truck.
It's the little things, right? At first I had fabricated some lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber composite handles, but the knurled brass is just so much nicer. Feels like the difference between a disposable camera and a Leica. You won me over with the knurled handles.
