I'm trying to figure out why you get the shield w/ 22" wheels - that's not a real "off roady" setup - or am i missing something?
I don't know about the 22" wheels. I went with the 21" road, at least for now. I ordered the shield because, well, Oregon. I have encountered enough "off-road" objects in the middle of the highways here that I don't even blink anymore. I thought it might save me from underbody damage that could reach the batteries. But I'm a crazy old dude, so there's that.

However, per my conversation with CS today, only preorder date matters. We will therefore be gettting invites based on preorder date, and not what your specific build is. Believe it when I see it!
They’re giving out more wrong information it seems. I have a January 2019 preorder date and didn’t receive an invite to the Shop yet. Yet others with later dates already received an invite. I’m not complaining (that’s a lost cause), just pointing out the fallacy of CS’s statement. Sigh…

I was told by my guide yesterday, that only 2019 and earlier res holders would receive the 1st round of emails, not sure why u are not in the batch.

Out of curiosity, why did you order an adventure when you were plenty early for a launch edition?

Maybe it's your location?

When the configurator came out, I was in the middle of a divorce and wouldn’t have been able to take delivery according to the promised timeline. Hindsight of course.

Potentially, as I’m about as far from a coast as one can get! But I am physically very close to the Kansas City service center.

When I did my first mile drive last week, my advisor said they’ve had a steady stream of trucks come through the SC with deliveries of both LE and Adventure packages. The KC SC covers a bunch of the midwest - KS, NE, OK, AR, MO, IA. Maybe not the entirety of those states but at least parts of all of them.

Yep, I'm a very early res holder. This thing is like woot, talking with my wife about a color change and poof it's gone.
If you do not buy one right away, can you let us know if new options become available during your week? I’m curious whether the inventory updates daily or whether you need to get in right away and choose something otherwise you’re out of luck. Seems like it would be a tough choice to either go with something you’re just “ok” with right away or wait until later in your week to see if something better is added.

My options have already changed twice today, so yes new inventory is added twice a day per guide. Also its location specific I was told.

I'm a bit confused. Are all of these vehicles you're seeing availalble to you right away?

Somehow, I was under the impression this "shop" would provide us with valuable information on how changing our configuration would effect delivery timing (and price of course). But that doesn't seem like what they're doing with what you've shared.

Is it a "here's what you can get today" or something that is more indicative of how different configurations and their associated delivery timing?

Thanks for sharing - btw!!

You know , you may be right. I checked on a local SC in their area, and it seems that BF, Idaho isn't on that list.

I would consider there to be three distinct groups of R1S orders:
1. Those with guides assigned and PBAs signed who are in/past their delivery windows.
2. Those with 2022 windows who have not been contacted by a guide.
3. Those with 2023 windows.

I said before I think group 2 is likely to be those who are going to end up moved to 2023. If they aren't able to get at least some of group 1 delivered this year it will be a major disappointment.
Maybe I’m a group of one, but I am an R1S preorder holder with a March/April 2022 delivery window, guide contact, and no PBA.

I did that combo. First, no upcharge for 22”s. Second, the work order is garage queen/daily driver for a few years then move the truck to the mountains where I’d be switching out the tires in winter anyways. Hopefully there’s less expensive aftermarkets by then…

What do you mean "nope?" You clearly got the delivery estimate email because your delivery window is posted in your signature and mentioned in your other posts.

You can be mad about not receiving an updated window after dropping Max pack, but it doesn't change the fact Rivian sent you the original delivery window just like everyone else.
