Is it just me or is anyone else having issues with their digital key and passive entry for their iPhone 17?
I previously had a working Bluetooth-only key that allowed for passive entry and driving without any issues. I was trying to set up the digital key so I could also use the Apple Watch app, so I contacted Rivian support. They performed a reset of my keys on their end.
Since then, I’ve been able to successfully add the digital key to both my phone and watch, but passive entry is no longer working.
Now, when I approach the vehicle, I have to manually open the key in Apple Wallet and tap “Unlock,” even when I’m standing right at the door handle. I’ve already rebooted both the vehicle and my phone.
Additionally, when I press the brake to start driving, I receive a “No key detected” message on the driver display. To proceed, I have to place my phone on the center console charger, double-click the side button to bring up the Wallet key, and then authenticate with Face ID or my passcode.
I've done a few hard resets on the car, deleted my key and added it back, hard reset the phone and deleted the app and downloaded it again. Help!!
What has worked for you all?
