Hi.
Is the SLC service center operational yet? Are R1s being shipped there?

Thank you for replying. Is it open to the general public or by appointment only?Yes. It is. I have had my R1T for two months now and it came from the SLC service center.
I’ve only been there once when my truck was serviced. The door was locked but I knocked and they answered. They were pretty great to work with. Do you have a guide yet? After experiencing the process if I was in your shoes I would call my guide and see what trucks are already in SLC that aren’t claimed yet. Seems to me they send random trucks to the service center based on what rolled off the line and what service center is ready for more trucks. Then they figure out who to allocated them to after that. Could be wrong but that is how it seems to me.Thank you for replying. Is it open to the general public or by appointment only?
I believe the SLC SC is the closest one to Boise and if I ever win the Rivian lottery my R1T will be shipped there.

Thank you for the information.
I have not won the Rivian lottery (also known as the dart board method Rivian appears to use to determine who gets a vehicle) so I do not have a guide.
My estimated delivery window is Jul-Sep 2022. My pre order date is 3/21 which by my estimate I should be in the early 2023 window.
I have not seen a Rivian yet and I don’t think Boise ID is known to Rivian. So I am thinking that I may drive SLC and see if I can see an R1T at the SC.
I think we will plan a trip to SLC in the next month or so. Thank you. It’s close to the airport and I have driven by several times and have always seen many Rivian’s there so I think that is almost a sure bet to see one.
Good information. Thank you! There are usually several sitting outside and even more inside being prepped. If you go during normal working hours, a delivery specialist will likely co,e out to greet you and talk to you about the trucks. They don’t let you crawl around in them or drive them since they are customer vehicles, but they are more than happy to talk to you and show you the lobby area if the service center.
mine was delivered from the SLC center last week, and it seems they are delivering dozens per week right now.
