It really is a red flag when you are trying to sell people on the idea that you want a wrap on your yet to be produced truck to make it less ugly.
Off topic but I tried doing some research on the Tesla factory (service center) wrap last night because I can't wrap my head around:
A. Who would want to buy a wrap with a 2-5 year lifetime without first confirming the paint/SS panels are okay
B. How does the warranty work there?
C. Will they also remove the wrap during the warranty period for free?

Short term buyers wouldn't care but if you are buying for 3+ years, I'd have a lot of questions.

It actually looks better in black, but you don't dare touch any surface during the summer as second degree burns would probably result!

Those are all excellent and fair questions that I'm sure would get you screamed at on the CT forums. I sure would be concerned about all of those. It's not like clear PPF that still shows pretty much all that is under the film. This is literally meant to hide the original finish.

I did read somewhere that select Tesla service centers will be able to add the wrap, so I guess it still would be possible to see your truck before adding it. But for the cost I've seen suggested, it sure seems like a rip off.

I'm picturing a delivery flow chart on a whiteboard somewhere showing:

Build->Paint->Deliver to Customer A->*rejected*->wrap->deliver to Customer B

Edit: Paint step optional for Cybertruck

kinda reminds me of my Miata trunk.
Yep, the Miata can't carry a bicycle wheel and one may not fit in the CyberFrunk either. However, a Miata can hold a massive amount of groceries in the trunk, and as an added bonus, they stay put when you open it up!

Tesla probably minimized engineered the frunk size so the cyberturck could remain buoyant when you take it boating. A large frunk could potentially fill with water and sink the front end.
