Just confirmed NACS adapter shipping

It's now clear they've started shipping a new batch. It sounds like after this batch pretty much everyone who got delivery in 2022 will have their adapter. That's about 25k adapters, and it's still August. That means that by the end of the year, if this pace keeps up, about 50k adapters will be sent out. I expect the pace to continue to accelerate. Whether they will be able to get everyone (~100k R1) their adapter this year is still unknown, but seems possible. So much of that rides on Tesla's unknown production plans and schedule for opening up the supercharger network to even more vehicles which will also need adapters ...

My R1S VIN 3xxxx, figured it will be at least another year before i see mine. Went with A2Z Typhoon PRO instead. Ordered end of July, will arrive next week.

Ugh, me: VIN 17xxx.
I was hoping to get the confirmation notice before a big September road trip, but based on these VINs I'm guessing another 15 months wait... Looks like I'll be buying the A2Z EV adapter, sans UL certification and Rivian's blessing.

Update: My A2Z Typhoon PRO adapter just arrived, I'm pretty stoked! Like everyone says it feels extremely well-built: sold & heavy.
Can't wait to try it out and feel ready for more road trips and trailering.

Update: My A2Z Typhoon PRO adapter just arrived, I'm pretty stoked! Like everyone says it feels extremely well-built: sold & heavy.
Can't wait to try it out and feel ready for more road trips and trailering.

The A2Z Typhoon adapter worked flawlessly on my first try at the nearby Tesla SC. This thing is really nice!

Just moments ago I got the "Thank you for your address. We’ll get to work on delivering your complimentary NACS DC adapter in the coming weeks!" message from Rivian. Of course.

Just got my NACS adaptor shipping notice email. Said my adaptor is ready to be shipped. I followed the link to confirm my address. Then, it said I would receive it in the coming weeks. What? Doesn’t quite sound like ready to be shipped, but whatever. I’m in the pipeline. I took delivery of my 2023 R1T on 9/12/23.
