I'm trying to troubleshoot my trailer lights and if I get out of the car and walk around to the back of the trailer to check if the lights are working about 3 seconds later Rivian shuts off the lights. The lights stay on just long enough for me to confirm that some of the lights had been working, but not long enough to confirm that they all are or to troubleshoot what's going on with the lights that are not working.

I've tried changing the headlight setting from auto to on, and that makes no difference.

I've also tried enabling the "Guide Lights" setting with no luck. The headlights stay on longer, but the trailer lights still turn off really quickly.

Is there any way to keep the trailer lights on?

I'd like to know as well. I have the same issues. I did find that leaving the door open seems to keep the lights on a bit longer.

Keep the phone or key in the car, get out and latch the seatbelt on the drivers seat. Keep the drivers door open. It will stay on for a few minutes.

This drove me crazy too.

When testing the trailer lights, I will press the flasher button to test the turn signals and then get out of the vehicle (leaving the door open) to walk to the back of the trailer to verify the lights. Always seems to work for me with doing that. On my trailer, I can tell that running lights are on while sitting in the vehicle because there are orange marker lights across the top front of the trailer.
