Yeah, again why I asked. If yours has BT wording, then that would be interesting too.
Prohibited PEDs include government issued, contractor owned, and personally owned portable electronic wireless, wired, and storage devices that have the capability to record, store and/or transmit text, images, video, or audio data. PEDs includes but are not limited to personal digital assistants, cellular telephones, two-way pagers, infrared, or radio frequency wireless devices, photography equipment, personal computers, electronic tablets, and other handheld computers such as: thumb drives, wireless email devices, music players, commercial compact disks, digital picture frames, audio and video recording devices, wireless headphones, Personal Wearable Fitness Devices (PWFD), and other wearable technology such as smart watches.

He likely works in a controlled space that doesn't allow wireless transmission at all (think secure government buildings) like I do. We do regular active and passive scans to detect these items so, yes, we can and will detect these FOBs.
I was thinking that it was probably security. I work in Class 1 Div 1 explosive environments (no unrated electronics) but we don't enforce key fobs or watches.... just computers, cell phones, radios, etc

So was just wondering.

Any place I work that doesnt allow phones has phone boxes where people keep wearable fitness devices and phones.
Agreed, the State building I have worked in have a secured place to put cell phones and other such things.
