Looks like we are not that far off on pricing. Car and Driver states estimated price of the AWD to start at $68,000, the GT line at $73,000. You'll be very near $80K OTD on the GT line......USD :)

These are estimates. Judging by the pricing that was just announced in europe, starting prices should be around $65k.

If this ends up being in the same price range as R1S this should be a no-brainer to go with R1S.

I agree that the R1S is a far superior vehicle for the money. It is also US made from a US company. I also think that the R1S is a much better looking vehicle. The KIA is somewhat reminiscent to George Jetson's station wagin.

If Hyundai follows suit from the Ioniq 5, it was common practice for dealers to markup circa $50k- $56k MSRP by +$10k market adjustments. Not kidding. I laughed out loud in the face of more than a handful Hyundai salesmen back then.

While we are in a different market since that frenzy, wouldn’t put it past them to try.

If you are pursuing one, would suggest calling your area dealers and refusing to pay for any of the gouge clowns.
