This may be old information for some, but new information for others. I spoke with customer service today. The "newest" delivery dates were released on June 11th. So whatever you've been told so far, was from that day... I'm sure a lot has changed at Rivian since June 11th.

The agent I was working with couldn't speculate on when these timelines would be updated, but her best guess was when the "website/configurator" is updated. Recall, that we were supposed to see timelines on the website when we logged in. It's anyone's guess when the website will be updated. Fun fun.

As for my "situation", I have a Tesla coming off warranty, and a new Tesla that's supposed to be delivered in October. My timeline is Nov/Dec for the Rivian. No sense in me taking the new Tesla if I'll only own it for a couple of months (wouldn't be worth the hassle in the hopes of making a few bucks). However, if I'm pushed off 3-6 months for the new Rivian, I'd take delivery of the Tesla and just trade that one in. I'm sure we each have our own situations to contend with...

Enjoy

I wish we knew wtf was going on at Rivian but we won't for a long time. All I know is I'm seeing people from my area with revised windows later than mine, who ordered well after I did, and are already driving their trucks. Meanwhile I've not had any guide contact or anything and I have a build that's regularly showing up in the R1 shop.

And of course when I contact CS, they blow me off and tell me what my window is (from the June 11 email) and then just end the conversation there.

Even guides don't have any other information beyond the last windows from June 11. I changed my build since then and my guide said all she had access to was the last published window and had no idea how my change would affect me.

The only email I got on June 11 was to inform me of my 1st Mile Drive (My order was placed Q4 2020). Can someone forward the "delivery time" email to me? Please PM me and I'll reply with my email address. Thanks in advance.

Just to confirm, you have NOT been invited to the R1 shop, correct? I'm a Nov/Dec build and have not been invited.

Not everyone got an updated delivery window in June, only people with an R1T and an updated window that was in 2022 got the updated window email in early June.

People with an R1S delivery for 2022 received the updated windows as well around June 11th. My R1S window went from June/July 2022 to October-December 2022.

Don't worry, the update to the website to show your delivery window will be made Early* this year.

*Early as defined as any time before 12/31/2025.

I have my guide, my guide is clueless. People have gotten my exact config in my exact location with later pre-order dates. With my Oct-Nov window, I am mentally readjusting my expected timeframe to March 2023, as stupid as that sounds.

Yeah, sorry, I should have been more clear, they started updating R1S reservation holders around the same time. My main point was that not everyone got updated windows in June, which is why I didn't think the distinction was important.

I'm so confused what you're saying here and what does Hint Based on Website mean?

At least you have a delivery window. I've had a guide for 10+ weeks and I don't even have a delivery window. This has been such a frustrating experience to spend this amount of money. Totally get that they're a brand new org but I really hope they're at least experimenting with different communication strategies over there or something.
