Hmm.. how do they know their 304XX VINs are model year 2024? From VIN check sites online?

I just locked down a R1S from the shop today and its VIN is also 304XX. I did do an online VIN check and sites did claim it was model year 2024, but I asked my guide point blank if this was a 2024 model and my guide replied: "2. We are by calendar year, so this is a 2023 model"

So I'd like to ask how they know their VIN 304XX is 2024 model year.

RN is 2024. PN is 2023

I am reluctant to select my configuration and want to wait a couple of weeks to increase my chance of getting a 2024 VIN. I am thinking if the configuration is not available in the Shop there should be a good chance that it will be produced in 24 otherwise they may match it with one available in the shop. Any thoughts?

Got mine today! VIN 25xxx. Except for a small weatherstripping issue on a rear window, fit and finish is great. Someone swapped 22s to it though. The truck thinks it has 21s and I didn't order or pay for it that way. It was a shop pick.

Definitely one of the very last 2023 models before Rivian changed the VIN stamps to RN around the end of November. I try to follow the online Rivian forums, and I've seen no evidence that anything changed with the start of 2024 models (except the 10th character of the VINs).
