The o-rings don't work for the front two. There is some additional steel in that location and the o'rings aren't high enough on the puck to actually make it to the point to engage the holes. At least mine is like this and it sucks.

If you remove the larger panels, any shop can lift the vehicle with standard equipment without needing to use the puck/s. The user manual shows the spots where the jack can be placed after panel removal. To prevent risk of shop damaging the panel tabs, might be good idea to remove them yourself right before dropping off.

Advantage to puck is that you don’t have to remove the panel.

This is the problem with o-ring designs, they are less than ideal and an antiquated design, plus as mentioned they work poorly on the front two locations on the Rivian. A magnet solution is the best option, which will be available shortly.

I made a set of pucks on my lathe using the o-ring method for securing in place. After a very short time, I ordered some magnets, milled four holes in each puck, and installed the magnets with epoxy. Retention is now positive both front and back.

What did you use? Metal? Delrin/HDPE seems like it would work well.

I used 6063 aluminum. Delrin would probably do the job just as well. You can order the magnets from Amazon.

Wow, super nice - tight! Price expectation for set of 4? Sign me up. I need these for a planned powder coat. Side question: How long before Rivian contacts you about using their name on the product?
