Hasn’t Rivian publicly stated they’re not focused on full self-driving; but simply a robust Level 2
They are miles away from a robust level 2. Compared to our Genesis GV80 it is downright awful.

I have ZERO trust in HWA and frankly I think the adaptive cruise leaves a lot to be desired even compared the Jeep Wrangler I came from.

I would say that for a car company that talks a lot about the safety of its vehicles this is an area that it has flat out failed and even verges on dangerous the way it disengages and gets confused by the simplest of things like an exit on an interstate.

I do not use any of it anymore which is disappointing after only 30 days of ownership.

I've had the Rivian since March and despite regular software updates i've seen no progress in this area. I don't think they're making any investments in this at this time which is disappointing. It doesnt need to be FSD but it definitely could be better. I wonder why there's no investment in it?

The reason I don't use Driver+ on highways is that it centers the vehicle in the lane. I like to give extra space to swaying 18-wheelers as I pass. I had a few close calls staying dead in the middle of my lane using Driver+. Truckers typically expect you to move out of their way - fair or not.

Seeing how inadequate Driver+ is at this juncture.. I wonder if they are still rewarding and encouraging drivers to use it?
This is how they improve the system. They need folks to use it, collect that data, and use data from thr fleet to improve the system.

The Count is routinely disappointed in Rivian's renderings. On a daily basis Rivian renders large tractors and harvesters as semi-truck. Until Rivian's programmers get out of the valley and into God's Country these huge mistakes will continue.

I wasn't implying that they HAVE a robust level 2 experience at this time, but speaking on public comments of that's all the company has envisioned for the R1 platform.

Back in early January when I was shopping insurance quotes for my soon to be delivered R1T I asked Rivian/Nationwide for a quote. One thing that stuck out was the fact that they told me "the more you use Driver+ the larger discount you'll receive every 6 months".

At least in California this isn’t an option (asked specifically about it for our recent renewal). So seems like a limited roll out, if at all. Does anyone have that discount on their insurance?

Nevermind Rivians lack of renders for the Amish horse carts around me.

Rivian in terms of self driving.
I tried the FSD thing on my Tesla and was totally unimpressed and cancelled it. Basic autopilot works just fine.

I'm surprized you failed to mention the rendering for the Amish buggies and their specific horse of choice.

How can we help Rivian to collect data?
