You said you felt bad for the buyers, as the price of an LE reservation was no longer worth $5k. I'm asking if you still feel bad for those buyers, considering the worth of an LE reservation probably just went up.

I am really split.... I am still trying to get LE and earlier in the line. But also wondering how rivian is going to eat all the lost income and survive. So also want to wait and see.
I guess that means in my mind buying a LE reservation is worth less now.

The way folks were canceling we are probably taking a few hundred million in revenue on the up charges at the end of the day. They have $15-20B in cash from the IPO - I'm pretty convinced that the price hike wasn't about making or breaking near to mid-term financial viability.

Rivian will survive just like Tesla has survived (and grown). Painful, poor production, huge losses at start, great product demand and come out the side sitting pretty - or that's how I see it ?

Having the worst second (third?) thoughts. I had a fairly early Launch Edition registration before deciding an EV wasn't the most practical choice for me. I cancelled my RT! order back in June, but now my circumstances have changed, and a Rivian would make more sense.

And I'm dying a little inside over my cancellation.

That truly sucks. I think that's why most people on here recommend holding off canceling until a guide calls you to put your money where your mouth is.

If you want back in, with a Launch Edition, it will now probably cost you double.

I am very sorry; while you second guess cancellation, I am sure some will second guess their ultimate purchase. The good news is this is just a thing and won't matter much in the grand scheme.
