Malvern, PA Service Center - positive experience

Always read about difficult service center visits and I myself have experienced a few.

Tldr: However, today, I had my first experience with the Malvern, PA service center. It was great - Keith and Larry were straightforward down to earth folks with a good sense of humor and quality no nonsense service.

Little color of the situation - A mobile tech from Trenton had found the coolant to be low several months back and stated they had scheduled an appointment for it to be checked further. The mobile tech couldn't add coolant as it needs to be pressurized and there might be air bubbles if poured in and all sorts of other interesting tidbits.

Holidays happened, I never heard anything and didn't follow up (though I was told I did not need to) - Fast forward to today, I arrive a little after 830am at the Malvern SC and am back on the road in my truck by 920am.

The coolant was checked and was found to be a little low. They popped open a bottle and poured a little right in. Validated all was good and were done.

Larry, the service advisor, offered to do a quick wash of the truck, which I happily agreed to based on all the salt on the roads around here.

The facility is a brand new building. My experience had the positives of other German vehicle service visits I'd had in the past.

I look forward to hopefully not going back to the SC in Malvern any time soon, but do not feel the need to fret if I do happen to need to go back (can't fully say the same for Brooklyn or Trenton).

Thanks for the update - We picked up our R1S in Gaithersburg and had to take it back there for HVAC service, but the Malvern SC is just an hour away so it will be much easier.

Related note...We got a call from Rivian in December that they were proactively replacing our 12V battery. Mobile service came to the house yesterday and took care of it. He was able to do it in our garage, but it was still very cold out there, but the convenience of mobile service really can't be beat!

In one of the pics, should see that hunter lift... That looks to have all the alignment gear and equipment in front of it - tires on the truck also have the sensors. So, I cannot confirm from Rivian, but what I think I saw seems to confirm.

I can confirm the Malvern site can perform alignments. They did a great job on my R1T recently where my steering wheel was shifted off center when driving straight. Now it's on center!

Further endorsement for Malvern. I had phenomenal experience on a slew of items on my work order. They kept me apprised of progress and had everything done right the first time in a week.

My only 'negative' was the Enterprise rental, but that's not Malvern's fault. Let's hope they get more loaners!

They're not (currently) suffering from the overwhelming backlog a lot of the SCs are. Let's hope they don't!
