Maps view is wonky

Since the last update, my maps is all messed up. Mainly my location arrow is not even close to be centered. The default view is miles apart as opposed to a more close up view. If I move it, the "recenter" button pops up on the bottom. The only way it seems to work "normally" is when I have a destination chosen. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix? thank you

We have a two hour ferry ride when we leave home and go to the mainland. We recently learned that our gps is clueless as to our location when we exit the steel enclosed ferry. The nav instructions are correct but the display has us a couple miles offshore routing through the ocean! A reset of the infotainment center corrects the issue about a minute after the reboot completes. I assume this is when the gps acquires satellites.

Hard reset took care of this at delivery. I was picking up in ATL and maps thought we were at a Lot in TN. Took about 15 minutes for satellite sync-up.
