Media Sounds - Bluetooth

In the settings on my Gen 1 R1t, Under bluetooth settings for my iPhone it gives the the ability to turn on "Media Sounds" which I would prefer. I want the chime to come through if I get a text etc. The problem that I am getting is that if I am listening to Spotify and I get a text message, it will permanently pause the song for the chime and I have to push play to get the song to start playing again. This can't be the intended action right?

I'm assuming you are using built in Spotify App through connect+ so may not be same as mine. Streaming from my Samsung Galaxy it just lowers the music volume during the chime but song keeps playing.

Interesting. I am using a native Spotify app in the R1 UI. I wonder if streaming would have different results. Still seems like a miss from Riv
