Miles on odometer at delivery / pickup? Mileage thread

Hi there,

Wondered if any of you can share the odometer mileage when the truck was delivered or when you pick your R1T up?

Friend of mine was assigned a VIN, went through the 8 step process - but when she read through the purchase agreement, it showed 100 miles.

Is 100 miles a lot or normal to accept when it's new?

Been discussed many times, the 100 miles is just the maximum number of miles it will arrive with. It's possibly related to some legal minimum allowed on the document.

Most trucks seem to come with 15-40 miles on them.

100 miles is the legal minimum in some states. Easy for them just to use it as the default.

Mine was delivered with 27 on the odometer.

Mine had 7 on it. The contract had 50 stated as the delivery mileage.

My paperwork also read 100 miles but it actually had something under 20.

similar with our Tesla. The contract had 50 miles on it but when we got it, it was like 17. I heard that California only considers a car new when it has 50 miles or less, on one of the forums.

As @OverZealous states, what’s in the contract is not actual miles. No need for your friend to be concerned.

Mine had 80 but they drove it from service center which was ~40 miles. I still think 40 is sort of too much but presumably they have someone driving each vehicle right now for a test drive to check for obvious issues so I get it.
