after 4 years i did take delivery of an R1S in the last couple weeks. Exciting to drive but it is worth noting that you might have some admirers, some of which may not be humans.

Well, I took delivery today. A few issues along the process, and they will be taking the issues back as learning points… but after waiting since 2019, I now have an R1T in Forest Green with the Ocean Coast Interior.

Anyone have experience with getting the windows tinted and getting a PPF wrap done (Looking to have a matte finish done)? Any recommendations of where to get that done?

I am still waiting for my R1S. My sister just had her new model Y done at Tint Pros in Medina. They did a great job. They were working on a R1S the same day. I am planning to take mine here once it is delivered

I didn't get my windows tinted (might do that this summer) but did get a front end PPF done at tintpros. Great service, fast turnaround time, and good results. I got the whole front (front end, hood, fenders), headlights, mirrors, and the top strip of the tailgate done in gloss PPF.

I got a quote from them, but I don’t have my R1S yet, but all I hear is good things about Midwest Clearbra.

Same but tintpros was the same price and had a longer warranty on the PPF plus had the ceramic infused product so I went with them.

I plan on doing a DIY ceramic coat install this spring if/when we finally get out of winter.

Has anyone in the MN area had any luck with local service center or test drive crew granting early R1S shop access. I checked with the service chat a couple months ago but was told only ‘19 and ‘20. Sounds like a lot of ‘21s and even a few ‘22s starting to receive access. April ‘21 order date here.

I've been tempted to ask for access (July '21 holder) but honestly, with our house being built and looking to be finished in Oct, and my current window of Q4 this year, I sort of just want to wait. Charging in our condo building isn't great, and our unit is up for sale right now.

I am curious if anyone in MN has got access though.

I had a VIN assigned for an R1S about a week ago. Reserved Jan 2020. My guide tells me about 3 weeks until vehicle arrives at the SC in Minnesota.

I saw one of you (launch green R1T) wink your headlights at me on 35w going south the other day in the twin cities. I tried winking my brake lights at you to respond, but we were too far apart to really wave.

It’s fun seeing more Rivians on the road here. I even had a 3 Rivian day while running errands last week in Edina. All different owners.
