It's truck for god sake. It should be able to withstand any kind of wash. People got to stop pampering Rivian like a Barbie doll.

Some of us don't like swirls all over our paint. Nothing to do with pampering.

There is a poor seal or no seal on the top/ rear spoiler deflector, this is another area to blast dry to remove excess water , the truck is washed three times a week as the dust from the salton sea has lots of chemicals in the fine dust particles.

My aircraft is washed each week from the airport air contaminants and is kept in a hanger .

Full hand job, all the way ....you also never know what's hiding in those bristles at those types of car washes.

That's the very reason why I always avoid those car washes with the spinning rags, as nothing good can come from them. Who knows how much sand is left in them from that dirty car in front of you.

I'm lucky enough to now be able to hand wash in my driveway but before then it was the coin op car wash or one that doesn't touch your car at all.

Hand washing your salt and ice encrusted vehicle in 20° weather in Utah in January can be a bit difficult.
