Moving a queen mattress

Need to move a queen mattress down to my kid 40miles away. Has anyone attempted to do that in a R1S? Seems depth is fine, just didn’t know if curving it to mitigate the r1s width vs the mattress width is doable.

Folding the mattress like a taco?

I have not tried it in my R1S but it should not be a problem - provided the mattress is foldable. I’ve done it multiple times in smaller vehicles. Just fold and tie it before shoving it in. Paracord works great.

Edit: Thinking back, folding the mattress can be the toughest part. Or most comical if you are spectating.

Fold and tie down. It's fine. Wrap it in cellophane if it's humid or there's any chance of rain.

If you can fold it, then it fits inside with all the seats down.
If it’s rigid like a box spring. I had to mount that on top.
