how much are you putting down?

Did you not notice city tax wasn't included? I'm surprised your CU didn't point this out.

what do you think is a "fair" freebie?
I put $12k down... I never noticed my city tax was not included until it was pointed out. Typically this is something that would be rolled into the loan.
Honestly, I wasn't looking for anything initially. Just a straight answer on
Couldn't agree more and I suggest taking this approach in almost all other situations as well. Even when you have been clearly wronged by a company it never helps to call up and scream at someone, even if that is what you want to do on the inside. Plus, there is a lot of bad customer service happening right now, across the board. Who wants to be angry all the time?

Not saying the OP did that at all - just generalizing.
I fully agree… I am not one of those people who believe in belittling someone to get their way. I believe in treating others how you want to be treated. My frustration is truly with the lack of communication when I am told he’ll get back to me. Even then, I politely ask for an update and give plenty of time for a response.
I just expected better communication through this process. But it sounds like guides may be over extended with their customer load.

Lack of communication is the theme repeated over and over. No excuse for not texting/calling somebody back in a timely manner.

The guides must have a granola bar in one hand and a coffee in the other. Can't decide which to put down to make a call :)

I didn’t realize this was such an issue throughout the community. I think a reasonable response time is within 24 hours. But maybe that’s where the issue is. Reading other posts state they patiently wait 2-3 days before receiving a response, that may be my disconnect. If I knew the standard wait time was 2-3 days, I would definitely have been more patient.

The problem is the guide system. It gives you the false idea that there is someone out there to help you and guide you through all the ups and downs. Your expectations are higher for the process. When you go to a dealership you know it's you against them.

I suspect the guide system will go away and they'll just add more people to the service centers to aid in vehicle deliveries.
