Everyone has heard the Rivian error sound. It's a descending chord that sounds like the lowest note that a bass guitar can make. Maybe that's what it is. It starts quite high and slides about an octave down. Today I heard it about every five minutes. It was irregular and intermittent. Usually when there is an error condition, for example, there is a car in the lane I want to change to, the audio is muted so the error sound is audible. Today it was blended with the music I was playing and sometimes I had to strain to even detect it. There was no error message or other problem indicator. I couldn't find anything unusual by looking at the info on the screens. In other words, I have no idea what was causing it. I do have a theory. My free trial for connect+ will expire soon and that might be a gentle reminder. That's the only thing I can think of that is happening. Maybe an icon somewhere was flashing, but it was buried. About all I know is I did hear the attention sound over and over without any other information. It's a little scary. Should I be worried?

Check your camp speaker. About a month after I took delivery I kept hearing a faint alert sound. I've already forgot what it actually sounded like. It was driving me nuts as it was very intermittent. I think I had not fully seated the camp speaker after checking it out one day a few weeks before and once I pulled it out and pushed back in the sound stopped. I think the battery had died because it was not fully seated. Might not be your issue but can't hurt to check.

I had this going on yesterday. Turned out to be the camp speaker. No clue what it was trying to warn me about

The camp speaker makes sense. I forgot about it. It's separate from the car system so that's why the sound doesn't mute. Sometimes I think it doesn't charge properly and eventually starts going dead and then tries to let you know. I will check it tomorrow. I mean, I will take it out of the car and then see if I still hear any error notes without it in the car.

I saw the best use of a camp speaker today at the Seattle service center, not inside a Rivian, plugged in the corner and on a chill mix tape. They are really good speakers and project very well, but are terrible car accessories.

It sounded sooo good there I couldn't belive it was a single camp speaker... Truly impressive.
