…I really doubt it is going to be interpreted that way. Although if I ran one of those charging networks I would act as if it were true because depending on that funding and flubbing it on a “technicality” is a company limiting move.
Yeah, my suspicion is that there's a loophole there since the use of adapters allows for almost ubiquitous charging.

Yep, like whomever came up with the law didn’t take adaptors into account (laws frequently require a reasonable person to interpret them after they are passed because they miss a lot of real world details). Or only adaptors that were part. Of the original EV purchase Count, or only ones available from the EV’s OEM count.

Or all adaptors that exist count, so hey every Tesla is counted as ChaDeMo plus NACS plus J1772 plus J1772-CCS. Ever Bolt EV is J1772 and sometimes also J1772-CCS (yes GM sold a 250 mile range EV with optional DC Charging).

I’m pretty sure when that stuff was drafted it was intended to make J1772 and J1772-CCS chargers a requirement, I don’t think they expected it to be the forcing function to get Tesla to agree to do whatever it took to make NACS a documented standard, and for basically all the other EV makers to switch from J1772(-CCS) to NACS. If so, an unintended positive result of government market. Interference for once! (See, they do exist!)
