Nate Harrison Grade - Palomar Mountain, SD

Did a run up the Nate Harrison Grade on Palomar Mountain in North San Diego county. Fun drive, great views. Was able to go through at the top and come down the back side by Lake Henshaw. Funny how you can sneak up on Mountain bikers climbing the hills.....

Did the whole run in All Purpose mode, few ruts and rocks, but nothing major.

How did it do on the climb? Did the fans or cooling system kick on? I was out there last weekend but on a bike... was 90f by 10am.

It was about 93-99F going up and it was no issue, I was surprised the cooling didn't run more. Average speed was about 15mph.

How many KwH did it use roughly/how was your efficiency? I'm in SD and hoping to do some of the local trails but want to plan out the energy side

I left Vista with 88% SOC and going up the mountain I was averaging about 0.5 m/kw. Once we made the top, the entire drive back around to the starting point (maybe 30 miles) I used about 1%.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much, you could use conserve on the way up to 76.
Got home at about 48% SOC.
