A word of caution for those with converted van adventure vehicles hoping to put both on a Rivian/Nationwide Insurance policy...

Nationwide won't insure a van whose VIN is categorized as a "commercial vehicle", and won't classify it as an RV unless the build-out was done by a professional.

So now I'm left trying to decide to go with Nationwide insurance only for the Rivian, and keep everything else with USAA (likely increasing costs across the board by losing multi-vehicle discounts), or just keep everything with USAA.

They also wouldn't insure a vehicle with a salvage title so I didn't switch.

I have nationwide insurance already so I am not eligible for Rivian's insurance but I do get all the same benefits and the new car replacement + which is absolutely critical with the Rivian and the price increase.

If you built out a camper yourself get an insurance provider with declared value or not many of them will cover your investment if it's totaled or stolen anyway.

I use Hagerty for declared value insurance anything old or specialty which is currently just my 75 FJ.
