Navigation problems - again

Short drive today and while I knew my destination decided to try the navigation system. This error occurred and when I returned to the car over an hour later the error was still there. I’ve had so many navigation issues I think I’m being pranked.

My GPS never worked from delivery. They currently have the truck now to fix some delivery issues and to figure out what is wrong with my GPS. It wouldn't navigate anywhere and the satellite option was grayed out so I really couldn't do a single thing. I've had to use Waze on my phone to navigate anywhere since picking it up. In my case, it's almost definitely a hardware issue. If this is a reoccurring issue for you, then definitely take it into service.

May be TCM module in your case.

They had to replace it in my R1S couple months back. No issues since.

Have you tried a soft reset or a hard reset on the truck? If that doesn't work, then its time to schedule service. Like others stated the telematics control module (TCM) could be the culprit.

Soft Reset: simultaneously hold Far left and far right steering wheel buttons until the screens reboot then you can release.

Hard Reset: simultaneously hold Far left steering wheel button and the hazard flasher button until the screens reboot then you can release.

You might check your data privacy settings. As I recall, f you turn off data sharing it disables GPS navigation.

Did you have data connectivity? Your picture doesn’t include the entire screen so I can’t see signal strength or if you have satellite view enabled. It could be you aren’t using satellite view and you should have data connectivity since you’re in a populated area, but I’ve seen stranger things. I typically have satellite view on so if I see the base map like that I know I have limited or no connectivity.

For anyone reading this, in general it’s best to include the entire screen when taking a screen shot.
