Opened up my frunk and found the following part just floating around... anyone know what it is? For reference my truck was in the shop for 9 weeks getting a new subframe, jounce lines, and front drive unit installed... Along with all the associated parts to install those (list was like 100 parts long). \

Anyways, i'm hoping maybe it's just something extra that they sat in the frunk while working on the truck and not something they forgot to install...

Size - 2" x 2" x 2.5"

If it is a Rivian part, it should have the part number stamped into it somewhere (or on a sticker rarely). Look closely.

My first impression is that it might be some sort of mounting bracket for a charging adapter?

Retired from construction.
Why not just send the pics to the SC and ask them?

Sadly the system closes out your ability to chat with the rep after the service is over. Guess I'll go through the process of calling them, opening a service ticket, attaching the image, and then seeing if they know.

As for a part number, there wasn't anything on it... Looks like it's part of an assembly of some sort as it has a green mark on the bottom to show it's aligned with another part (like what they put on bolts to show they haven't moved).

Likely some kind of packaging or an alignment tool, then. They have done an extraordinary job of putting part numbers on anything that is part of the vehicle
