I don't believe you. If you're pulling down 666,000, a dubious amount, that's plenty of money to have a professional. I pay like 1K a year for an accountant, and he saves me tens of thousands of dollars in tax liability. I think you're lying about what you make, as the first order of business at that income level is tax management.

Not to mention the rate at which dividend-paying stocks pay out dividends. In order to pull down 400K from stock dividends, you need an 8-figure amount of stock worth.
TBF, 8 figures Canadian is like $14.12 U.S.

Every forum I visit has become infested with Tesla bots. Even the ones that aren't car related.

While a few are real people, probably 90% of them are just Grok generated users.
I agree. That's why I'm hopeful for the "Orb" technology that's out right now and growing. Straight out of a sc-fi movie!!
In a future of AI, with things getting more and more real, having your Iris scanned and put on to blockchain technology is the only thing that will separate humans from bots. And that there can only ever be one of you. Your Iris signature data cannot be f'ked with or changed being tied to blockchain.
Look it up, cool tech.

Here's the proof: First of all the $666k $CDN is only about $490k US.
-Taxes aren't hard at all if you're smart and didn't shut your brain off and stop learning after high school. There are literally only a few boxes to input various income sources. My kids are grown and I don't have business expenses, or any other significant deductions anymore. I don't know how it's done in the US but all our tax slips and investment forms are cc:d straight to the government and they port right down into turbo tax software. It pretty much does everything for you nowadays.
Maybe, just maybe, someone who grew up in the projects, started from zero, and was smart enough to fully retire 3.5yrs ago at 49, is someone smart enough to handle a tax return?
- As for my dividend payers that's not from my stocks like Nvidia, Amazon, Google, apple ect, those divi's are chump change. I have a separate allocation of dividend paying ETF's that pay divi's weekly or monthly. And, only a "sucker" gets out of bed for a pittance of 4-5% return. I'm well diversified is various covered call options strategy ETF's that pay dividends of between "45-60% annualized" yeh, if you know anything about options trading they're quite lucrative!! Now, these ETF's do have big NAV erosion, usually about 15-25% annualized but I've been doing them for almost 4yrs now and they average about 20-45% "NET" dividend but depends the underlying holding some do better than others that's why I stay diversified. From these dividend paying ETF's I yielded a total "net" $400k $CDN last year between my various retirement, tax free and margin accounts. Folio not quite 8 figures but getting close!
-The $266k is my "net" profit income doing all my own options trading myself. See pics from my tracking spreadheets. I've also included so far year to date only 8.5wks since Jan3 that I've "netted" $49.5k $CDN already this year and on pace for the same options income as last year.
Pics: of my 2025 total dividends, 2025 options, 2026 options, a sheet showing some examples of options trades so far this year, and my Tesla holdings and avg cost bases.
-If ya'll still think I'm lying then that's on you. I'm done with this post anyway and will move on to other posts talking about Rivian.

I'm pretty sure the majority of us on this forum have Microsoft Office. Also, there is a lot more to taxes than just filling out a couple of forms. It's about knowing how to structure your income to pay the least tax possible. Someone making the kind of money you claim to make would know that.

Maybe Canadians like to pay taxes and help the government out, eh? They are pretty polite after all.

I'm just waiting for them to drop their tax returns here.
