For Gen2, RJ said that had a much better wireless charger and that it would definitely work... Still implies a manufacturing problem.

How complicated could it be for them to have a plastic housing with a magsafe underneath?

Things are what they are and it’s a waste of time arguing over it. It isn’t complicated. It’s a matter of cost and that it wasn’t designed to Qi2/Magsafe spec (with magnet) in the first place. If magnet is what you want get s00nish’s plus Apple’s pucks, or the Anker units he recommends, and be done with the “problem”.

Yep. I just got one and it’s great. It’s what they should have done out of the gate. It’s like they never tried it and just built a ton of vehicles with the crappy charger and apparently they can’t redesign to a good one either.

I personally have and really like the Adventure High Tech StowNCharge- comes with a sliding drawer for hiding stuff.
