Has anyone else experienced these issues after the latest ota? ( Gen2 r1s)

1. Scheduled charging doesnt work. It seems like once the car is asleep, it wont wake up to charge. I have had my car not charge on multiple occasions.

2. Everytime i get in my car after its asleep, I have to turn road cam off and on again otherwise it says theres an error with roadcam and to try a reset which i have done multiple times.

I’ve experienced the Road Cam issues, although in my case, the reset did fix it.

There's a current issue that was claimed to be fixed in 2025.38, but still exists for me, where the off-peak charging or a weekend schedule won't work. If I plug in with the schedule set in such a way that all-day on the weekends is on, it won't charge until midnight on Monday unless you manually tell it to charge now. It's getting really annoying.

I think im just going to take the schedule rivian came up with and apply it to my charger instead of the car itself.

Yup - same. Still a problem. Zero charging issues ever until the peak rate improvement. Hopefully corrected soon - would be a nice feature.

Haven't seen those issues. A bunch of my settings were changed though had to set them back.

FWIW, my electric company just changed our Time of Use times, so I just deleted my off-peak schedule and re-added the new one. As soon as I plugged in it started charging, so it does seem to be working correctly after re-adding it.

I had to delete my schedules and start over. Worked after that.

Affirmative...post directly above yours. I wound up doing that last night and it worked.

I have not yet downloaded 25.38 for this very reason. These monthly OTA updates seemed to be turning into ā€œcrap shootsā€ as to what will work post update.

Case in point. After one of the more recent ones (August update, don’t remember the build) our vehicle dissociated our VIN with us as the owners. It was like a brand new vehicle to us even though we had owned it for close to 1 year. I had to go through a complete set-up. Rivian had to reconnect the VIN to us so the app would work. All card keys had to be reassigned, driver profiles redone, etc. the only plus was we got another C+ 2 month trial 😊.

Everything on our vehicle is currently working as prescribed, all my settlings are dialed in. Based on some of the hiccups I’ve read about with .38, I feel like skipping it. There really isn’t anything in it that interest me or is compelling enough to upgrade. Not sure if that is an option however. I’m sure each update builds off the previous build. Skipping it might mess things up worse. Or, it could go smooth and work just fine. Who knows? Like I said, a real crap shoot šŸ¤”

I would prefer Rivian to slow down the OTA schedule, maybe make it bimonthly and do a more thorough job vetting the new release for ā€œerrorsā€.

For me it is Spotify. Sometimes it will continue playing music when I get in. Sometimes I am forced to go to the Music Menu, hit home, and then manually start music. It is hit or miss with no apparent rhyme or reason for when it works and when it does not.
