The problem, and the reason they introduced the new button, is that the door locks are NOT two-state*, so a simple toggle doesn't and can't indicate the current state of the locks.I prefer a toggle which makes it obvious what the current state is vs what the button does when i push it. feel like i am always guessing to remember which one it means.
You can open the doors in drive, you just have to keep weight in the driver seat. It's for your passengers. My question is, we can't open the doors unless the truck is in park, so other than when we sit too long in Drive the car will unlock, but otherwise what's the purpose.
If you have your vehicle configured to only unlock the driver door, you have to display both buttons to be able to lock or unlock without having to double press. When it's a touch screen where you press the button to perform the action, the state is going to change but you can't see it until moving. Most people probably don't have their Rivian set up this way but you can.My question is, we can't open the doors unless the truck is in park, so other than when we sit too long in Drive the car will unlock, but otherwise what's the purpose.
