Mine is showing a lifetime of 1.91mi/kwh atm. (988miles) Talked to a guide today about other issues, and mentioned this, he felt it was abnormal and should be higher.
Try resetting a trip meter while on a steady state and driving for a bit to get an idea of the efficiency at different speeds.

I seem to be getting about 2.0 during normal driving in my town, speeds of about 50 on average.

They are the Pirelli

2.0 for the 275/65/20 Pirelli OEM is about right

Rivian doesn’t agree with you, otherwise the car would be rated at 290 Miles.
That rated range isn't based on your driving style, but the EPAs drive cycle. Your average speed is much higher, reducing your range. 2.0 with the ATs and 50mph average is about right.

An update for those wondering, I have a service appointment with Rivian in about 2 weeks, to address this and other things.

I have driven the car about 2500 miles now. Best average I have been able to accomplish is driving to a nearby larger city, about 115 miles each way. Round trip I averaged 2.4 m/kw over the whole trip (I've done this 3 times now.) I was able to achieve this by playing with the suspension and regen settings, went to Low on both. The journey is slower winding roads for 1/2 the trip.

Around town I am only getting about 2.2 m/kw and long/high speed highway is around 1.9-2 m/kw.

With AT Tires, you're doing pretty good...these are the least efficient tires Rivian offers. These things have the aerodynamics of bricks and speed, elevation, wind, ambient temp, and additional accessories will all greatly affect your range. What you posted above is in line with what others are getting. I have a Quad with AT 20s, and I'm only getting a bit better overall than 2 miles/kWh.

Although Rivian will look at it during your appointment, I'd be surprised if they fine anything out of line. As they say, "your mileage may vary."

2026 R1S dual max performance
I often travel to Maine on a one way 345 mile trip and when I got 2026 R1S dual max with 410 miles range I was hoping that I don’t have to make charging stop. I’m here to report that my first trip was a success. Here are stats:

Range wheels with EPA 410 miles range.
OEM Pirelli 22” tires at 45 psi on the road.
Outside temperature mid 60s with little wind.
Elevation of route 80 ft to 1725 ft
Started with 100%.
Arrived with 52 miles and 13%.
Total traveled 370 miles.
Total driving time 6+ hours (with 2 rest stops)
Average efficiency 3.0 mi/kwh
Here’s the trick. I was trying to travel at 68mph on highway whenever possible.

It is so nice that you don’t have to mess around with planning and finding charging stops on a very long trip. Just plug it in upon arrival! It gives you a new perspective!

I was also using ABRP, which was saying I would make it, it was wrong.
ABRP has done great by me. I like that is allows me to input factors like my projected speed relative to the speed limit, extra weight in the car, etc. With a paid membership, it also factors in real-time weather. Temperature, wind, and precipitation can greatly affect range and charging calculations. On one trip, I was buffeted with 30 mph to 40 mph headwinds...a big power suck!

I use ABRP and customize my route. In general you want to pull into a charger with 10%-20% battery left and leave before you hit 80%. Since I usually travel with kids, I pick stops that have bathrooms and places to walk around. I usually end up overcharging because we take our time.

Going 75+ mph, and having the AT tires are going to reduce your range. Never believe what the range says on the dash. When I had my F150 Lightning, its range estimations were off by quite a bit too.
