New R1S Owner, couple questions observations

1. Regen - I can get Regen to force me to used breaks in 2-3 minutes on a semi-steep road. Is that normal? I would assume it would last 10x that as long as I was not dumping the throttle high speed.

2. Charging - Any issue leaving it on L1 when it is sitting at 70% for a few days? The L2 charging is not fully setup, so I end up using it when I need to.

3. Dog protection - Anyone have any good products for your big-ish dog?

4. Rivian installed front license plate - Does that block an area of the forward facing camera and 360 view for everyone? Stunned they let that happen...

Other huge gripe is texting, but I know that get heated so I'll leave that off.

Yeah, it's really lame, I wish they didn't rivet the plate holder, because I really want to remove/change out the plate holder, and haven't figured out how to drill out the rivets without pieces of it falling behind the bumper.

Absolutely agree with this statement!!... it's not a perfect vehicle, there are issues as I am already due for second service visit soon, but overall, it's a fantastic purchase and really happy with it so far!

1 - totally normal. Rivian limits regen based on a number of factors, but specifically pack temperature.

2 - that’s actually a desirable charging method. Keeping the battery at 70 is apparently recommended by Rivian

4 - no clue. The Service Center can drill and mount the front brackets if you want.
