Load range E tires are generally 10 ply. This is all that I have ever used on my three quarter and one ton pick-up trucks. I have also always used these on our Airtream Travel Trailer. The Pirelli Scorpion Verde 275/55R21 shows the load range as "XL", whatever the hell that means. I am hopeful that Michelin and Goodyear will be making a load range tire in this size by the time we will need new tires.

I went with Michelins on my 22”. Those Pirellis were complete garbage with little to no tread. This is a truck, not a car!!

How many miles did you get on your Pirellis? I’d bet your Michelins will last longer.

Did you do any tire rotation? If yes, how often?

I only did two. I never really thought about it until at about 15k (I was used to taking car into a dealer for oil changes etc where they did that). As a result the fronts had quite a bit of wear on them.
