Thanks to everyone posting and replying here I have a few questions as I am 90 percent sold on R1S.

Moving from a Mustang Mach E AWD ER....test drive went well yesterday on a R1S.
Sales did follow up email and needless to say in was told yeah we can't order anything unofficially and there is nothing in stock with those options.
Question is any concerns on buying used 2023 less than 10k miles? Sales didnt say unsure when you can place an order for a R1S.

Any thoughts would be great.

Try to get one that is less than 1 year from purchase date and less than 12,000 miles.

Rivian come with the 12 months / 12,000 mile adjustment warranty to take care of any cosmetics issues or wear / tear items like cabin filters / wiper blades.

I would not hesitate to buy a low mileage under 1000 miles / late 2023 R1S from the second hard market after I have Rivian perform an inspection.

I would not hesitate to buy a low mileage used Rivian. As @MidnightRivian said, just make sure you get one under 12k miles so you can take advantage of that “adjustment” warranty if you find something minor after purchase. Everything else is covered under longer warranties.

Thanks....was looking for a green with ocean coast PDM and large battery and the bright black wheels. Nothing remotely close available..found a 23 used quad large battery white w/ocean coast and bright wheels...I am looking for the ~320 miles range. Imdo home charging 50 amp charge point off hrs .11 per kw hr somyes cheap to charge at home and office has free charging...the r1S is posted here in the sale section.

That's really the way to go IMO. Just make sure you get a PPI from someone who knows Rivian vehicles. Even then, if your under 12k like was said the adjustment warranty will cover balance, alignment issues which sometimes happen on the new vehicles. My March built 2023 R1T needed both an alignment and wheel balance. I purchased that just as prices started to come down for used examples. It had 200 miles on it...a little over a year ago now.

I have over 30k on my truck and wife has close to that on her R1S. I think you'll be fine as we have been pretty problem free. That said, if I had a turd I would sell it in that 10k range.

Thanks everyone who replied I pulled the trigger dropped the 1k deposit and confirmed the vehicle… shipping from the factory in IL to MI. Taking delivery at service center. 15 business days approx for delivery.

everything is done financing insurance waiting on delivery… what is interesting I was assigned a guide who doesn’t answer calls and only texts… Sales person on vacation for a week, complaint no follow up or thru on questions expect a text. Really not interested in talking wire transfer to make my down payment over text and send me the screen shot for confirmation it was sent.
