New website update. “Events”

Hi all - just like every night I logged into my Rivian.com account and noticed there is a new tab labeled “events”. When I click in it shows me A CTA to schedule a drive… amazing!

Curious if anyone has seen this yet, especially as it gets closer to delivery??? I’m Oct-Dec.

Yep. Just did the first drive yesterday. Was awesome but my delivery date is 2nd half 2023.

Ah man - I was hoping it was an indicator of delivery happening soon haha nonetheless, extremely excited for it. does the 30 minutes include both the driving and the walk around? wonder if I can skip the walk around given I've seen every Rivian video known to man 50x each.

Mine was scheduled for 45 min but it lasted an hour. 15 min walkthrough and 45 min test drive.

Yeah did mine 3 months ago. Zero contact sense, Oct Dec window.

Another member posted the same thing for the Costa Mesa, CA service center I’m very close to, but no calendar icon for me. That member had a Jul-Sep window and I’m Oct-Dec, but you’re also Oct-Dec (albeit in Denver). The combination of this with not receiving the two most recent mass emails is slightly concerning to me. #smallfirstworldproblems

I'm not sure how they hand these out but it's definitely not opened up to a broad area at the same time. It popped up on my account and a friend that lives 20min away with an earlier pre-order did not get the invite. Others in the area reported getting an invite prior to me. I suspect it might just be hyper-localised to specific zip codes or something so the person isn't driving all over town in a given day.

Have you ever clicked the "Sign up to learn about demo drives and events in your area" link at the top of the home page? I'm guessing here (as Rivian's communications are somewhat scattershot), but I would think that's the way to ensure you get a calendar icon when it's happening in your area.
