Since yesterday, my efficiency has gone down by 50% and consistently been at 1.68 which I have never ever seen. Not sure if it has anything to do with temperature drop in northern California but it’s big drop …

Unless you spent New Year’s Eve at Golden Corral, it’s the colder temps.

Since yesterday? How can you measure any meaningful efficiency over one day? I have found that efficiency can vary quite a bit, especially with a small sample size. Give it time. I’ve experienced inexplicable changes is efficiency, both good and bad. I’ve seen my efficiency drop, for no good reason, then rebound a short time later, for no good reason, without any change in driving scenario. Go figure.

Also depends on the length of your trips. It takes a while for things to get up to temperature and the 15 minute graph thing includes the whole power draw and not just the juice to the motors. So if you're taking relatively short trips it never levels out for long enough to bring the average back up and also doesn't reach the point where the heaters start cycling intermittently.

Even if it's not trying to warm the battery, the cabin heater is a fairly heavy draw.

One thing I did notice after the last update… I use electrafi and confirmed it there too:
My standard + pack used to have a 121kwh capacity. It now has 119kwh capacity. The change happened the first charge I did after the 2024.47 update.

Part of the Big Man's designed obsoletism. Each year the function `dropEffBy10Percent()` is triggered. Even Rivian couldn't escape the Big Man's grasp.

Welcome to winter and the related big loss in range. It's just how EV batteries work. Normal.
