This used to be an issue for me when my 12v needed to be replaced. My weird workaround was rolling the window down, locking the car with the key card from the outside by tapping it on the handle, unlocking it again - then shift gears LOL!!

so might be worth checking that out if all else seems to not fix it at all

Same as @freshpow. I've had this issue for a while. I usually just launch the Rivian app and wait a few seconds. I'm thinking my Android phone, or the truck, are just sleeping and launching the app updates the connection.

I had something similar a month or so ago that had been persistent for a bit. Coincidentally I was unable to update to the last update (.03). Dropped it off at the shop and it was determined that a key sensor in the door went bad. They replaced it and all was normal again.
I'd been dealing with this intermittently since the Digital Key "upgrade" I had mine in to the SC in Council Bluffs, IA and the tech ran the delete from his end, not in the vehicle, and then I re-added all of it on my phone. Allegedly, 2026.07 rectified it (Though I know some had issues just after the OTA). I have had no issues since then. It happened both at home in the morning and after work where it would not unlock the truck for a few seconds, even after we'd walked around it to the back. In my experience, opening the app didn't do anything, nor did the wallet app.
