Doom scrolling on this thread. My tags expire on 9/16 and I've been checking with my guide for a few weeks in anticipation but not sure if that did any good. Been checking the site for my VIN but no hits yet either.

FWIW, my guide has a calendly page so they got an email, text, and calendar request from me. Seems like the calendly request gets me a response faster than when I just email or text.

Unless things change drastically by Dec, I'll be specifying self registration as well. This is beyond ridiculous at this point.

Steering wheel wobbles above 60mph
Glass roofs breaking
Tonneau covers failing
12v Batts going bad
Seatbelt recalls
CV joint failures
Loose underbody bolts
Wet spots under driver floor mat
Excess cabin wind noise
Creaking sounds when accelerating
Passenger side lower than driver side

Now can't even deliver plates/Title?

What a cluster Fudge........

My temporary tags expired as well. However, I stopped in our local Carmel, Indiana BMV and discussed situation with them. They issued me new 30-day temporary tags. Hopefully I have plates by Oct. 1 but it was a pretty easy solution in my case. Rivian did offer rental but I want to keep driving my R1T ... 6,500 miles and it is perfect! (So far ... knock on wood)

Add me to the list (soon). I've been all over my guide for a status check of the registration submission by Rivian to the DMV. My temp tag expires on 9/16 so I'm trying to stay ahead of this. My guide was originally saying "we're on schedule to have this completed before the expiration date" and I was cool with that. However, the guide then told me it was set to be complete on 9/15, the day before the tags expire. My guide told me "we're at the mercy of how fast the DMV for your area can move." Oh really...

I called my DMV and asked if they could reference my R1T's VIN in their system. Nothing. DMV lady said if they had received anything what so ever, the VIN would be in their system. I promptly replied to my guide with the facts and to get on it. Seriously, 3 months and they've not done a thing with the registration?

It gets better! Just today I get a notice from a claims/debt collector, it's for an outstanding balance on the RAM truck I traded in 3 months ago!! Apparently, it took Rivian 3 months to send the payoff amount which 3 months later was different than the agreement I signed for when buying the R1T. I've also promptly informed my guide to get this fixed.

Seriously, not sure what the hell is going on in Rivian's cube world, but this is frickin ridiculous.

Well, I heard back from Xander the same day I VMed/emailed him. He said that all my paperwork was shipped overnight to PA yesterday and was able to track it to being delivered this. AM. So understandable that DMV hasn’t seen it if it’s still in the mailroom. He said someone would call PA DMV on my behalf to try and “expedite” but I doubt such a process even exists.
I asked why it would take more than 70 days from my delivery to the paperwork being sent to DMV; apparently “a form was incorrectly filled out” (I’m assuming by Rivian) which took more than two weeks to correct. Not sure about the other 55 days.
Net-net, I appreciate him researching my issue & getting back to me with an update the same day. He seemed genuinely interested in trying to solve my issue, but at this point we’re playing beat the clock. He didn’t try to pass the buck to USReg, and assured me that they were aggressively looking at alternatives. Not that that’s going to help any of us who’ve already taken delivery. As Anton Chigurh said, “That’s the best you’re gonna get”.

I just sent an email to RJ. I'll post here if that develops into anything.

FYI - I heard back from Rivian today. Either my registration details were never sent in, or it was, then rejected, then sat for MONTHS.

The email to RJ does seem to work though, which is nice, I guess.

I'm at day 65 with no plates. My guide has no idea what is going on. What's the best approach to get this done now?

So I transferred plates from the vehicle I traded in to my truck. A few days ago I received a single pink Applicant's copy of a temporary registration. It has all of the details of the old and new vehicles and says it is valid for 90 days. I have the plates, so I'm assuming this form allows me to put them on the truck and the permanent registration card isn't far behind? Can anyone else on this thread from PA confirm?
My only concern is that they checked both the Transfer and Renewal of Registration Plates and the Transfer and Replacement of Registration Plate options, then circled the latter. I would think that the Renewal option is the correct one for using the same plate I already had. Either way, it's at least reassuring to get some kind of documentation that my truck is at least somewhere in the PA system.

I would use caution as I am in the same exact situation as you. My temp tag has been expired since 8/19. And every time I call PA DMV they can see by searching my vin # that the transfer of tag is in process but not approved. The earliest it MAY be approved will be 9/8 because rivian (or 3rd party) did not finally submit application until 8/9. So yes I have that same pink sheet but it is just the application.
