Nothing yet, but the inside is queen size, and I'd say any 2" memory foam would be perfect.

EDIT: But then how to store??? Hmmm. I wouldn't think you could close the tent with it in there.

Hehe, yes, that was going to be my question is how well it closes with a different mattress. If it won't close, then it's a no-go for me. I guess I can just try out the OEM one and see how it works and take it from there.

Wouldn't be too hard to roll up the extra one and put in the back seat.

I have the Ironman 4x4 Nomad 1300 tent (same one) and put a 1.5" thk memory foam topper beneath the provided mattress. It was a decent comfort improvement. The tent was a real struggle to fold down with the 1.5" foam piece left inside. Could pull it down to about 95% flat/packed but with too much stress. Going to try cutting the foam pad at the fold line to each the bend-over. Also going to trim around edges to make sure its a bit undersized to the edges of the tent. There is very little volume when properly packed to fit much else.

I found rather than a mattress topper, these underneath the included mattress is great! And they fit to leave in there with my Frontrunner RTT.

Just chiming in, about to go on first trip with the Ironman 4x4 RTT. Seems to be surprisingly good build quality! I like that the cover is kind of a bed liner finish (won't scuff and scratch and less likely sun damage I think), the inside is roomy and the "mattress" is decent to start with, and their July 4th of July sale is 25% off. Hey, quick question, I was thinking of buying this and their brackets aren't wide enough according to the dimensions they gave me (only 3" between holes but cross bar is 3.6" wide). Did you get different brackets?

Negative. The brackets are actually perfect. They're kinda shaped like an old telephone with a big rubber insert in the recess. I'd send a picture, but tent isn't stored in my garage.

Sorry one more question, just got my truck today! Mounted my cross bars but if you pull up on them once it’s locked, it pulls up slightly and the plastic cover latch pops out a little. Does your cross bars do that?

manual says it should make two clicks when putting it on but I only get one click

Ah I got it. You have to firmly press the plastic tab closed for it to click and lock fully

We got a Thule Tepui and are happy with it. Listed at around $2200 at REI but we ordered directly off the Thule website for ~$1450. Covid overbuy inventory reduction???? We are happy with it. Among the lightest of the RTT tent options which was high on the priority list for us. The mounting hardware worked fine with the Rivian cross bars ( which rock by the way).

Has anyone tried the Desert Armor tents? Their non-Xl fold-out models should all work over the bed. They seem relatively new-ish, but list a lifetime warranty on their products.
