No guide contact for me yet, did ask CS when they said they should resch out to me in October....

Guide contacts now seem to be 1-4 weeks before delivery, so it might not be until December even until you hear anything.

Plenty of less critical issues too since deliveries being made to real (non-Rivian employees under a gag order) customers.

At this point, better of waiting for your truck.....

FWIW, these things aren't likely to be solved for mosts of the folks pushing only a year back. At their production rate we're still talking very small numbers. Tesla was still dealing with battery pack issues, and drive motor failures for over 4 years after the launch of the Model S.

Heck, it's been decades and Land Rover is still dealing with air suspension issues.

This may just be the reality of our car ownership future, the bigger question is how often does this occur per 100 car manufactured and how quickly can some of this be tuned?

have oct- dec window for R1T. Got email yesterday introducing my guide. Took earliest intro call appointment which was today. Locked in config and signed PBA. He right off the bat said my delivery is still set for oct to dec but there was a chance could be moved up. In so cal. Had first drive 2 weeks ago, not sure I’d they had anything to do with getting guide so soon.

I have an Oct-Dec delivery window but received the intro email with my guide assignment yesterday with the call setup this coming Monday.

I’m wondering if this is really the call to talk through any updated (read: further delayed) delivery window or to actually begin the delivery process. Guess we’ll see…

I am not sure I would be too thrilled about this if it were me. Seems that they are looking to lock in as many buyers as possible by having people sign a PBA 6 months before their loosely confirmed delivery window. So they are locking in a sale, but don’t have to provide a delivery date for that sale. I wonder what happens if you say no thanks to signing the PBA so early? Do you get moved to the back of the line, or are you forced right then to sign or remove your reservation?

Locking in a sale on a vehicle that you can exercise a no-fault, fully refundable return on after consummating?

Im not sure where the risk to the consumer is…

Could be that most people that have an OCT-DEC delivery are being pushed up the line do to OC being delayed?
