Odometer reading on sale contract

For those of you who financed a part of your purchase, what mileage was recorded in your sale contract? Mine shows 100 miles, which sounds like a ton of miles for new vehicle, but also sounds like a nice round number to plop into a form that will allow them some wiggle room.

This has been discussed in other threads. It’s a placeholder value.

you will see similar on any other salee contract for a new vehicle.

it’s also to cover off delivery miles, eg end of line test driving, moving around shipping yards, etc

Thanks, I should have searched first. I figured it was a standard placeholder, but good to confirm.

Yea. Definitely just a formality. It won’t really have that many.

My doc had 100; truck had 10.

Legal requirement in some states. Easier just to slap it on all of them.
