Yeah when people ask me about Rivian, I find myself full on sales person without meaning to. While they have presence in the ATL metro, a lot of people still ask me "Who makes them?"People still don't know about Rivian. In my area, the Rivian Marketing director says maybe 15% awareness in this area of the east coast. Putting it in a high traffic area, ex. Tysons Corner in the DMV area, helps with awareness. Afterall, Rivian can't legally sell through these areas, only order online. Most people I speak to, don't know about Rivian (and at this point I am doing the work of the sales person and marketing as I spread the word). So it does the job of getting the curious people to stop by. The showrooms are also supposed to double as community spaces to help with Rivian/community engagement.
The idea of the showrooms doubling as community spaces/community engagement should be honed in on more, IMO. I'd love to geek out and talk Rivian with other people. They just seem so empty every time I go to one.
