Outdated Maps

I’m curious if there is something Riv can do to send us more accurate/current maps. In the example below, the empty dirt lots on the Rivian map have houses built there that are at least 5 years old. In the tesla map (my wife’s car), the map shows the houses. I’ve seen many examples of this! Still love my Rivian more!

So it's really just outdated satellite imagery, but the actual map data is fine, right?

Satellite imagery is all downloaded as needed. If it's out of date then it's still the best that mapbox has available for your area.

There is actually a workflow to provide them with updated data if you have it, but they won't pay for it, nor use commercially encumbered data from a source they don't normally use, so not really an option for the average person.

Satellite is going to be a little difficult, but if it's roads or the houses are not showing, update it on openstreetmap. I did this for a new building near me, as well as some street errors, and they transferred into Rivian in a week or two.

I've also noticed, on multiple occasions, that the destination in the nav system is actually on the wrong side of the street...including my house. Definitely some opportunities with the overall nav/map experience.

Just wait until we're forced to pay for those outdated maps and incomplete traffic data.
