Our February delivery G2 Tri had door alignment issue upon delivery. They were sticking out at the top. Olathe, KS service center adjusted them. Driver side was acceptable but I had them adjust the passenger side further in June. Then the passenger door started rubbing against the front quarter panel and chipped the paint. Last week they spent 4 hours adjusting the door and did a great job touching up the paint. However, I didn't notice this terrible frunk/quarter panel alignment until yesterday. They must have messed with the passenger quarter panel.

Why can't Rivian get the panels correct at the factory? Hell, even Stellantis products have proper alignment. This is the one thing that infuriates me about our R1S.

Yes, that's seriously bad.. amateur hour level stuff. When faced with cosmetic issues that are over their heads, Rivian should be sending these vehicles out to experienced body shops for repairs vs playing whack-a-mole fixing one thing but causing issues somewhere else.

They have to adjust every single panel on the side that needs the adjustment. The issue with that side panel being one singular piece.

Thanks. I think I'm going to insist that they send it to Eveland Bros body shop which is the shop they use. They have an excellent reputation in Kansas City for being the go to body shop for high end German cars.

Mine weren't perfect either at delivery, but the hood was the only one that really bothered me. about two months after delivery, mobile service brought out my floor mats that they didn't have at that time. While he was here, I asked him about the hood and he quickly did some adjustments. Look fine I guess , but it seems to move from opening and closing the frunk over time. But yours are crazy. Hope they get them to your liking!

I just got my truck back after 50 days out of service for what was suppose to be an overnight adjustment. Had I known what I was going to go through I would have ignored it. It was not really the SC’s fault, all my issues were from their body shops. Took 2 new fenders to get it right. Interior leather of my door was ripped during at some point that is still not fixed, and while they were super awesome to drive it 2 hours out to me and switch with loaner, I found that the front panel that is between the charge point and around the headlight has a broken clip and will not stay lit so it’s loose and a huge gap. I was working on trading it in on an R1S before all this happened, I requested a buyback around day 40 and a BBB claim a week later, was offered compensation but have not decided to take it yet. I’m still all in with Rivian, but it’s frustrating. 2 pics of what I took it in for, 1 of how it looked during first repair attempt, and 1 of my new gap/panel issue(thankfully I think it minor).

Maybe I’m in a minority in that these sorts of things don’t bother me at all. The one picture with the panel sticking out is bad but the hood gaps on the first picture aren’t something that would bother me enough to do anything about.
