Agreed with the above comments, it would be freaking amazing if we had a "parking" height mode or setting we could select for <5MPH operation which would ensure we could park in low clearance areas safely.
The issue is that it resets overnight. If you're not careful you could rip the antenna or something else off the top in the morning. Also not sure if 73" includes the shark fin.
Buying a 2024 R1T DM Large Battery on 3/27/25. This R1T has 21" tires. My house was built in 2001 with three car garage. The measurements that I am providing were done by myself so the tape measure could possibility be moving during the measurements. The depth of the garage is 226" and the garage door is 90" tall. I have a couple of questions. I have read this thread twice and was wondering if there is a consensus on entering and exiting the garage without damaging the R1T? Can you put the R1T in the lowest setting over night on a regular basis without damaging the R1T suspension? Thanks in advance.
No, you won't damage the suspension, but you'll also only have about 10 inches total in length. This will technically fit, but it may be a hassle getting around the truck if the door is closed. You'll likely want some kind of parking aid (tennis ball, laser, tire stop, etc.) to position the truck consistently without having to get out and check your position.
Beatle,
Thank you for the suggestions. I bought a used 24 R1T DM Large pack on Thursday. The R1T fits in the garage with little room to spare.I save a few inches in the front and back. Height was not a problem even without "kneeling", but I make it kneel anyway.
When I take my dogs out for a walk through they are having a hard time figuring out to get around the truck.
