Has to be hard enough though. It's very unpleasant if it thinks it's time to go when you're still putting pressure on the brake.
True! Just no need to stand on it!

I thought it would be fun to catalog the reactions that you've seen with passengers or people you've let drive and launch your R1. So far I've had two "holy shit", two weeeees like a roller coaster, and one "Holy shit, I thought we just got rear ended". Also I made my wife do the slow loris hands up pose when I merged onto a road and she wasn't expecting it. Picture for reference.

Yo,

That's a great idea to catalog the reactions of people who ride your R1. It's always fun to see how people react to the power and acceleration of a superbike.

I've had a few people ride with me on my R1, and their reactions have been pretty much the same as yours. They've all said "holy shit" at least once, and some of them have even screamed. I've also had a few people tell me that they thought we were going to crash.

One time, I was riding with my friend, and we were merging onto a highway. He wasn't expecting the acceleration, and he did the slow loris hands up pose. It was pretty funny.

Here are some other reactions that I've heard from people who have ridden my R1:

  • "I'm not sure if I'm scared or turned on."
  • "This is the most fun I've ever had on a bike."
  • "I think I just peed my pants."
I'm sure you'll get some more funny reactions when you let people ride your R1. Just be careful not to scare them too much!
